Ford Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I just won a clean 87 banshee after buying a $5 raffle ticket. It has after market exhaust and paddles on it. The rest is original and I haven't rode dirt in years. Can anyone let me know a rough list of things I need to maintain and enjoy my new toy? Thanks Quote
bada450r Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 i would start by doing a compression test, just make sure you dont need race gas to run it[unless you know the answer to that]second make sure you mix gas properly, and buy quality oil[dont buy that walmart premix] whatever your riding style is the banshee will be the machine to own.......and post some pics of your new toy.........and have fun............welcome to the BHQ Quote

locogato11283 Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 damn, you won a banshee for $5? thats a killer deal. compression make sure air filter is clean check the front end for slop - check the ball joints and tie rod ends check the rear end for slop - check the axle area, make sure the axle nut is tight use good oil - klotz premix is a good one to use might make sure your brakes are good - they come in handy when youre riding fast these are just a few things, but will get you started.. welcome to the BHQ Quote
