jjscherler Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 I have stock Mikunis and my left carb is leaking fuel from the overflow tube just when engine is running. I've cleaned and rebuilt the carb, checked the float level, needle and seat and still leaks. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
AKheathen Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 what is your float setting on that carb? it may be just a mm too short. also, try tapping the bowl and see if it stops Quote
jjscherler Posted December 3, 2009 Author Report Posted December 3, 2009 I set it to .88 which what book said should I go more? Quote
mignumspeed Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 i recently had this same problem,i set my float to .825 and it still leaked.so i took the bowl off and hooked the fuel line to the carb and turned the gas on and pushed the float up to close the valve and it still leaked.so i took an old float valve a had left over from my rebuild ,put it in and no more leaks, maybe you have the same problem.i bought my rebuild kit from napa, maybe its a cheap kit or something!
