Bansh-eman
It all depends on where you live. In CA if there is no means of identifying the bike, they can and will take it from you. There were a few guys from Az that went to Glamis to ride and had some VERY flashy rides. As soon as they unloaded them the Sheriffs out there drove over and gave them a hard time and took the ike. Said they thought they might be stolen. They didn't have vins or any type if identification to prove they owned them. Check with your local lw inforcment about what you have to do to get a certificate of title that shows modifications to an offroad vehicle. AKheathen
just go down to the dmv and tak to them. explain how you are building a custom frame, and they will set you up to get a vin plate put on the frame somewhere, and new title to match..... dragbanshee98
hear in NY we dont have any problems with that sort of stuff.. we all drag on closed courses and no-one says anything about vin #'s or anyhting like that.. but if you run it down the road to test anything, even if the riad is marked for wheelers, you are on ur own with that one haha
AKheathen
that's why you go talk to them.......i don't know what they need, but they will likely need to see it in order to attatch the vin tag.........
Bansh-eman
They may ned to verify the frame is yours before you start cutting it. Call them and ask, they should be able to tell you what to do.

I gotta figure out a way to get a vin number on my frame before I get new powder.

XxMeltIcexX
In no way is this legal, but if you get a punch set you can stamp your VIN back into that frame....

alcoholbanshee
i missed this. what choo talmbout???? One of our fellow Michigan racers had his drag bike stolen. It was recovered by the police. Now they will not give it back to him because the frame has no numbers and he cant prove with paperwork that it is his bike.
