'04limited Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 ok so i put a new top end on my bike everything went good got it fired up right away no problems, i gave it some throttle and it sounded really good, i let it idle and it just sounded perfect, i gave it some more throttle still sounds good. i let it idle down, i do this for a minute or two i push it out of my garage while its still running i get the bike outside and go to give it a lil throttle again and its starts to bog i let off and it idles down i give it more throttle and it bogs when it bogs down it sounds like when your trying to rev and the parking brake is set, hopefully you guys have some ideas that might point me in the right direction, thanks. Tom. btw the jetting or anything didn't change and was spot on before i tore it down to put the new pistons in. Quote
shee4speed Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 make sure you have good fuel flow.I'm sure you already checked that. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Check it for air leaks. If the outside temps have cooled off quite a bit, since you had it out last, you're probably going to have to rejet it. Quote

fastbanshee8 Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Do you still have the TORS crap hooked up? If so, pitch it in the trash. Quote
Paul M Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Do you still have the TORS crap hooked up? If so, pitch it in the trash. I know this sounds stupid but I had a loose ground at the tail light and mine did the samething ! check all you connections also I dont like to let a fresh top end idel down to low when you first fire them up ! I like to keep it above idel preety good just to make sure there is plenty of fuel and oil to keep the piston from wanting to stick !!! Edited November 20, 2009 by Paul M Quote
