are you talking about from the bottom of the cylinders to the top of the case? if so, i think some guys just make a template by tracing the transfers on the cylinders.. then draw it out on the upper case. i tried to find a post on it, but didnt have any luck either.

i feel pretty confident doing this mod but i wouldn't mind seeing a post aswell

Take a base gasket and lay it on the bottom of your cylinders. Cut and remove material from the base gasket until it matches the ports on the bottom of your cylinders. Then take the gasket and lay it on your cases on each cylinders respective side. Trace the gasket onto the cases. You will notice your cases are larger than the ports on your cylinders when you do the tracing. Then just take a porting tool or dremel with a speed cutter bit and remove material from your cases until the cases match the outline from your gasket. Then gradually slope these cuts down into the crank chamber of the cases.

I can't find my pics of my own case porting right off hand, but when I do I will post them for everyone to see.

ya thats what im talking about.

i did find some of bigred350x thread with pics...link

when i did mine i used a black permanent marker, colored the top of the cases where the cylinders sit. put cylinder on and went in from the underside and used a hook scribe to trace the inner outline of the cylinder on the top of the cases.

next i used a pnuematic die grinder and ground back to the line

the bit was cross hatched so it wouldnt take huge amounts out at a time and round at the end to get transitions

when i got what i thought was close i put cylinder on and rechecked multiple times until smooth.

after i took the base gasket, placed in on top of case and used the side of a screwdriver to make a crease and cut along crease with shop scissors.

heres what my case top ended up looking like.
