werner Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Yes ive done a search for this... I remember there used to be a thread with pics of case port matching but I cant find it now. Anybody got pics or how-to... Quote
locogato11283 Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 are you talking about from the bottom of the cylinders to the top of the case? if so, i think some guys just make a template by tracing the transfers on the cylinders.. then draw it out on the upper case. i tried to find a post on it, but didnt have any luck either. BigRed350x Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 i feel pretty confident doing this mod but i wouldn't mind seeing a post aswell Take a base gasket and lay it on the bottom of your cylinders. Cut and remove material from the base gasket until it matches the ports on the bottom of your cylinders. Then take the gasket and lay it on your cases on each cylinders respective side. Trace the gasket onto the cases. You will notice your cases are larger than the ports on your cylinders when you do the tracing. Then just take a porting tool or dremel with a speed cutter bit and remove material from your cases until the cases match the outline from your gasket. Then gradually slope these cuts down into the crank chamber of the cases. I can't find my pics of my own case porting right off hand, but when I do I will post them for everyone to see. Quote
