quaddad817 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 WHEN I BAUGHT MY BIKE I WAS TOLD IT HAD A FAST DUNE PORT BUT IVE FOUND OUT THAT THAT WAS BS! THE INTAKES WERE THE ONLY PART PORTED SOME GUYS HAVE TOLD ME THATS A MX PORT, HEAR IS MY QUESTION I JUST GOY SHEARER'S SBIF'S AND I AM WANTING TO GO TO SAHARA PRETTY SONE! SHOULD I RUN MY STOCK CARBS OR MY PWK35'S ARE THE 35'S TO BIG FOR LESS THAN A DUNE PORT? WHEN I GET BACK FROME THE DUNE ITS TEARDOWN TIME! BUT I GOTTA GET AWAY IM GOING CRAZY Quote
donkeypuncher Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 honestly, IMO 35's would be too big even if you did have a dune port. the combonation of 35's and shearers on your bike will result in the loss of a ton of bottom end, especially since only your intakes have been ported. stick with your stock carbs untill you get atleast an agressive dune port. p.s. sorry to hear you got jewed on your cylinders. shee4speed Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 stock carbs will run just fine on your bike. When you get all your port work done, throw in them 35's. you would have to try them out on both setups to get the real answer. Quote
tony cub Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 (edited) i agree, but just think about your top end...i consider shearers to be a top end pipe anyway, along with the 35s Edited September 21, 2009 by tony cub Quote

shee4speed Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 nice bike man.13/44 is very low gearing. You will be shifting like a sob in the dunes.I would go with 13/41 at most but prefer stock gearing in the dunes. Quote

quaddad817 Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 ok so if i run my 26's how mutch should i go up on my jettingi had i dyno tuned om fmf sst's, it was dead on at 330 mains 25 pilots and center clip on needle, 1.5 turns out on air screw. im thinking 350-30 i can get the needle and air set easy! oh and the reason im going to run the 13-44 is ill be using 23'' haulers for drag ant i think it will help with the loss of bottom with the shearer's. if it doesent work well ill have a 14 to throw on!
