quikshee Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Did your friend ride the bike before it was brought back to you?? If it came straight from the dealer to you, I'd be loading it back up and making them do it correctly. Quote
steenasbanshee Posted September 20, 2009 Author Report Posted September 20, 2009 no, he doesn't know how to ride, doesn't even know what a clutch is, lol. he works with me and is a inner city teen. he's never seen anything like a banshee before, lol doesn't make sense. on my kx 250 i don't even have to pull the choke out, ever. even if its been sitting for months. i have the choke all the way out, petcock is 'on', i dont even wanna prime it cause i dont wanna flood the carbs. what could be the problem? Was it the same way hard to start. Is the bike bone stock bike has been sitting about a year, hasn't ran right since i borrowed to a friend. dropped it of and the service guy couldnt start it. he said the carbs needed to be cleaned. they cleaned them and put fresh plugs. they called me to tell me it was ready for pick up. had a buddy get it cause i was at work, brought it to my work, same shit Quote
AKheathen Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 sounds like a typical dealership to me..... they just set it to factory specs. after all you cant do better than that, right? they don't understand how a banshee works, or 2 stroke, for that matter. they scoff at them. grab a clymers and go over the carbs yourself. you'll probably find either the bowls are switched, or something else simple. was the fuel turned off when he picked up? check the plugs. it could flood if you don't Quote
old roost Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Sounds like it is flooded......my sons 2 stroke will flood if you look at it wrong LOL, really his fuel shut off valve is broke and if it sits for more that 2 min with a full tank it floods instanty. I would make sure your shut of valve is working properly. Quote
