g_low0885 Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 i just rebuilt my moter and added a +4 crank and a port job from FAST. i only have about 10 hrs on the backing that is in the pipes and one side was burnt over 1/2 of it was missing the other side looked good. i have replaced the packing before but it lasted more than 10 hrs and both pipes looked about the same. does it hurt anythign to run it with out packing? thanks for the help. sinisterboo Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 it will hurt two things, performance, and your nuts when I kick them for being annoying. If you cant afford packing, climb up in your attic at home, and jack some fiberglass insulation. Works in a pinch, smells like burnt ass, and dont last long, but it keeps your nuts from getting kicked. Quote
