What would happen if I rode it and didn't have the ball in there? you would now if the ball wasn't in there. you would of had to make a huge adjustment to the clutch cable. but if the ball isn't in your rod will get real hot and weld its self possibly. ive seen a rod weld to the ball before because the ball couldn't move freely.
