studwyck1 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 I put an adjustable timing plate on my banshee and it started up and idled great...that is until my pick-up hit my flywheel. It put a decent burr on the flywheel magnets and detroyed the pick-up. After which I have no spark, obiously. I replaced the magneto and pick-up with a brand new one as well as a flywheel (used off ebay) to help troubleshooting. Now I am struggling with a spark (weak one at best) and no spark at all. I have disconnected kill switches and checked connections 2-3 times. I read on another forum on Banahee HQ that it is possible to test the flywheel output using a test light. I am getting a constant but dim light on each kick off of the yellow wire. The post said it should be very brite. However, it went into no further detail. I have sprayed ether into the cylinders and get it to run 1-2 cycles but nothing more. Any suggestions? Quote

studwyck1 Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 I've used feeler guages from almost touching, to manual exact specs, to really far and still no luck. Quote

If its been dropped really hard on concrete or something it could mess up the magnets. Just an idea. Quote
