2004LEBanshee Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 I was told that my motor was bored to .40 over. But Im looking at the lable from the box of my piston it says. 795MO6500 Clear:0.0030 2559cd CW 16 S486 121306/3/D/9402 I dont know much about this. But doesn't 0.0030 mean .030 over not .0040? It has been 3 years and it runs great so im sure there is no problem. Just curious. ALso I have been looking around and I only see pistons for .20 .40 .60 .80.. No .30 What gives? Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 I believe the Clear:0.0030 is the piston to cylinder wall clearance. Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 the 06500 is 40 over (stock being 64.00, 10 over being 64.25, 20 over being 64.50, 30 over being 64.75 and 40 over being 65.00) the 0030 is the piston clearance (piston measuring 65.000 bore measuring 65.003) either way, your 40 over.
