rubeat Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Is it worth the time and money to switch from stock carbs to 28mm mikuni flatslides. Is there that much of a performance gain?Or should i just wait and get something bigger later?Im going to use these on a shee that i horseshoe drag.Need it to accelerate as quick i can thats why i thought the 28s would work good.Still new to this stuff always drag raced cars before.Just want some opinions. Thanks Mike Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 nope. youre not gonna notice an increase in power with the 28s over the 26s. id hold off until you decide to do some motor work and go with something like a 33mm pwk carb. Quote
alf44 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 You will gain more torque and bottom end from a single carb setup like I run. I play in the trees and hills so I also like the response, torque and bottem end. But a good port job based on your riding style will get you the most gains and some low mid pipes like paul turners.
