dirtydownunder Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 (edited) well, the banshee tank is decieving becuase its narrow at the top and widens at the bottom so you think you have used half a tank when youve prolly just used a 1/4. I thought myne suks the fuel but its not that bad. we rode 34miles (17 there and 17 back) 5th and 6th pinned and i mean pinned i was thinking "dont blow up, dont blow up" haha and it was just around half a tank maybe a bit more than that (not much more tho), that was along the beach sometimes in boggy sand. 2 hour trip. averaging 65-70mph and at another time i went trail riding inland to another dune area which was over a 50mile trip and had just over a 1/4 of a tank left. that was flat out too but more 3rd and 4th gear. and that was a 3-4 hour trip. man did i hurt after that trip. compared to the 4 pokes i ride with its crap but definetly long enuff for a decent ride. I know what you mean my kids 4 stroke dirt bikes go forever on a tank!!!!!!! thanks, at least i i can ride with them for a few hours, when i run out send them for the fuel can LOL LOL Quote
dirtydownunder Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 depends what mods you have, myne only has bolts-ons with 280 mains. and i can safly go on a 2-3hr hard ride. with that big ride i went on, i was stressing like F^&K that i would run out, but never even needed reserve. Quote
madjimmax Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I would say you should have no trouble going at least 3 to 4 hrs especially if you stay off the pipe. I know when I take rides in the woods behind my house about 2 to 3000 acres I'm usually gone about 2 to 3 hours and I have at least half a tank left when I get home and I'm on the pipe as much as I can be and I'm running 340 mains. I will say that this is a lot of second and third gear riding because of the short straights and tight turns, But the rpms are still up there. Quote
