robert0762
Before ne one goes off on me telling me to buy a clymers and read it I already have one on its way. I have to put new crank seals in. So I was wondering what specialty tools I might need. I have a flywheel puller. You dont need a case splitter or puller for banshees. Do I need a clutch holder? What size sockets am I gonna need for the big shit. I got all the basic stuff just want to have everthing I need so when i start tearing down i dont have to stop
LS1Inferno
for the clutch just wrap a rag around and let it bind between the gears on the clutch basket and the crank gear. other then that you should be good.
old roost
I am in the process of rebuilding also, good luck to you....... the best thing to have is a air compressor and air tools, impact gun and air rachet !!!!a huge savings in time. and it will easily remove the clutch basket nut with out a holder. The only " speacial" tool i needed was a 32 mm socket... $8 at sears,to get the clutch basket off.
