BaMotorsports Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 hey guys, im new to banshee tuning..a guy brought one to my shop a few days ago because its falling on its face in 3rd and 4rth gear..its got rdz out of frames, v force 3 reeds, ported stock cylinders, stock head, and i was told they are 39mm mikunis. not sure why they would have such big carbs and i dont know where to measure them to see for sure..all i know is i see most people running 150-170 mains in these carbs and this one has 320s in it..im looking for some help on where to go...live at sea level in lower alabama also Quote
AKheathen Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 sounds like it could be stock carbs measured wrong. measure the bore near the slide. (the smallest part) give the elevation, temp, and air filter setup, like pods, airbox, lid, snorkel. Quote

No Limit Powersports Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 How bout some pictures of the carbs, that would help make sure we know what you have first. Hard to tell but sounds like your running out of fuel in those gears either from a lean condition or bowl running dry. Quote
BaMotorsports Posted July 16, 2009 Author Report Posted July 16, 2009 ill try and get some pics, they are not stock i dont think because they are flat slides. im thinking they are 35s because the inlet on the rear of them measurees 39 and its a hair smaller at the slides. im gonna go up to a 360 jet today and see what it does. if not then ill post some pics. thanks guys Quote
