Larry's Shee Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 Ok, in the process of cleaning mud out of son's shee, (Mud Hole Flip WTF). Any way started cleaning head and noticed head gasket is WAY thick,3/16. Both pistons were half way down when I opened it up. It does have Hot Rods crank, marked H.R.204, rod marked C.K.158, Weisco 795 pistons. Does anybody have an idea WTF I have?? Is this some kind of long rod stroker? Havent pealed gasket off head yet, was installed with grey Yammabond type stuff. Would it be safe to re-use this head gasket or where do I find a new one? Thanks for your help. Quote
AKheathen Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 i'm not familiar with the numbers, but you likely have a stroker there. that is a spacer plate. copper is reuseable. measure the stroke in mm. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 (edited) Not being a smart ass but I know there metric 'cept don't have anything to measure it with. Just eyeballed it. More imput welcome!! Btw I'm new to Banshees. Edited July 5, 2009 by Larry's Shee Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 6, 2009 Author Report Posted July 6, 2009 Only one answer so far? Hope everyone had a safe weekend. Least I'll be back towards the top lol! Quote
Bill Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 With a spacer plate you probably have a 4mm stroker crank, and 795 series pistons are used with long rods. So im thinkin long rod 4mm. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 Still new to Banshees LOL, but not two strokes. Just trying to identify what custom wazoo parts are in this thing. The little I've learned in the last couple months I thought spacer plates went under cyls. or have cool head with stroker domes. So how does this set-up affect port timing? Seems it would be way late. I don't know cause I didn't look at things close as I was tearing it down to get the mud out of the crank and crankcase. I do have it all cleaned up and am in the process of reassembly. All new seals, gaskets, and rings. Bore/piston clearance was near wear limits, it'l get bored next time. All stock except HR crank(stroker?), two stage reeds, K&N. No pipes (yet) (WTF?) Quote
AKheathen Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) you don't have a ruler? having lower ports will gear you twards lowend power. what pipes you have? it should also be ported for the stroker too. whops, just read that last post. you should pick up some procircuits for that motor. you won't be sorry.
