locogato11283 Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 not that it cant be done, but why when a new adjustable stator plate is so cheap, would you wanna bother with the stocker? you wont have the adjustment marks and itll just be ghetto rigged. i really recommend just buying an aftermarket one from one of the site sponsors. Taken from the Banshee electrical FAQ First of all, you need to make a mark on the stator plate to use as a reference for advancing the timing. Once the stator cover and flywheel are removed (see Q#47), etch a mark on the stator plate on the right side (or towards the rear of the bike) of the stator plate where the upper and lower case halves meet.
