KaosBanshee44 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) So you already removed the pressure plate and the clutch i take it correct? Your wanting to remove the inner clutch basket and it keeps spinnin on ya? I like to use a impact works every time. Edited June 19, 2009 by KaosBanshee44 Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 big flat blade screwdriver with a towel wrapped around it. stick it down through the basket and in between the splines on the hub.. use an impact. should come right off. Quote
Drewski Posted June 19, 2009 Author Report Posted June 19, 2009 ya, that won't break the basket??? Quote
shanYE west Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 I put the clutch pack in and push on the plates (as hard as possible).. then hit the nut with a impacket. This is after you undo the lock washer of course.. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 ya, that won't break the basket??? so far so good.. but if you break yours im not responsible. Quote
Drewski Posted June 19, 2009 Author Report Posted June 19, 2009 cool thanks i'll take your advise and give it a try and if i break it.... what's another $400-$500 bucks! this thing is worst than my gold diggin girlfriend. Quote
Drewski Posted June 19, 2009 Author Report Posted June 19, 2009 oh ya , another question. is there supost to be any play between the basket and gear behind it? Quote

KaosBanshee44 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 If you have a stock basket you'll have to get a aftermarket billet basket cause once you grind off the stock rivets holding the gear to the basket you can't put it back on. Looks like it's time for a upgrade Quote
Overboost Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 If you have a stock basket you'll have to get a aftermarket billet basket cause once you grind off the stock rivets holding the gear to the basket you can't put it back on. Looks like it's time for a upgrade x2 I just put a rag in between the gears and impact, then reverse it to go back on but I tighten nut by hand, it has a lock washer on it, so yer good. go billet, I had the same play, changed to billet from F.A.S.T. with cushions, no play, no problems Quote
Ncgoon336 Posted March 19, 2024 Report Posted March 19, 2024 How do you take the clutch basket gear off without taking the rivets off?? The rivets are not attached to small and middle gear just the big one Quote
