Burt Reynolds Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) Ok, it has a 4mil crank, ported jugs, noss head,t5's and 33mm pwk's,stock timing,160psi,running 1/2 turbo blue 1/2 93 pump gas. With the quad off i can leave the gas turned on all day and it wont leak a drop. Well if i start it and ride it,gas will drip out of both carbs from the bottom over flow.Doesnt seem to be a whole lot at all, just drips. The reason i noticed Is because i dont have the vent hoses on and it will leak onto the top of the cases,so whenever i stop there is always a little gas moisture on it. If i ride really hard for a few and then stop and look under there, you can see where it has dripped out,and maybe see a drop or so hanging off the vent outlet. Is this normal? I figured maybe fuel just splashing around could do it,but im not sure. what do you guys think? Edited June 7, 2009 by Burt Reynolds Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) Check that your floats are set at the right level and put the damn hoses back on man. IMO a lil bit of leaking out the over flow is normal....not alot but a drop or 2 here and there is ok. Hench (over flow) Or mabey your needles could be gummed up some.. Have a look/see at everything bro!!! Edited June 7, 2009 by savage420 Quote

shee4speed Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 I agree with Savage.A little is no biggie (when your riding). Check your float heights. If it were anything else,it would leak while parked. Quote
Burt Reynolds Posted June 7, 2009 Author Report Posted June 7, 2009 Thanks guys, ill check the float height. Normaly i would think thats the obvious thing it just threw me off how it wont leak when sitting still Quote
AKheathen Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Thanks guys, ill check the float height. Normaly i would think thats the obvious thing it just threw me off how it wont leak when sitting still the needle usually has a spring in it that allows the floats to jump around without beating the needle. if you set the fuel just a little high, the floats will bounce enough to let some extra fuel in. Bill Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Hell I did a complete rebuild on my stockers and set the floats exactly to specs and I still get a little drippage, just the nature of the beast I guess. Quote
