AKheathen Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 ya idk it is kinda making me mad but i guss what can u do maybe the head bolts lossened alittle on the right side idk that is why you re-torque aft3er a few heat cycles Quote
yamahaman244 Posted June 2, 2009 Author Report Posted June 2, 2009 Ya I didn't so should I do that now and it is only doing it on the one side Quote
AKheathen Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 it's probably too late now. you'll have to get a new head gasket and do it again. not a bad idea to have it planed, but when you put it back on and torque it down in proper sequence, run it up to full operating temp with the radiator cap off, and let it cool completely. go watch a show, or clean your mess for an hour or something. do this 2-3 times, then retorque it and put the cap back on. personally, i would do it again after you get home from your first ride, too, but that's me Quote
yamahaman244 Posted June 3, 2009 Author Report Posted June 3, 2009 ya i hope i dont have to do that and i have a ? why do they losen up Quote
AKheathen Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 ya i hope i dont have to do that and i have a ? why do they losen up as the metal expands/contracts, everything seats into place Quote
