I just bought a pro design cool head with 20cc dome off of ebay. I have been searching topics for installation help, but have not found any. I bought the longer studs to bolt this head on. Can I use stock nuts or do I need different one with brass washers? Also, do I use a head gasket or just the o-rings?

The o-rings are what make the seal no head gasket required! I put a lil grease in the groves of my head to help hold the o-rings in place during installation (not sure if that is the recommended procedure or not but it worked for me ) the draw back to this method is when the motor came to temp the first few times it ran out and was kind of a pain to clean but I all so didn't have to pull my head due to a pinched ring ether. You can use the stock head nuts but after a wile the will start to eat in to the head due to electrolysis, but I would think a light coat of dielectric grease on the bottom of the nut would stop it but not a 100% sure.

Wow, never thought of that, so it would be a good idea to use brass washers then? But to original poster, just use orings, a litttle grease from your grease gun on the orings then put em in the grooves and it works like a charm, I believe also that the grease helps condition the orings and keeps em pliable, ive reused mine several times and not one leak. stock nuts are fine, i bought some high dollar acorn style chrome nuts from cascade and the studs stick out to far and they wont tighten down to the head.

when building rotary engines, they also use orings instead of gaskets and i use a shitload of vaseline to keep them in place.

vaseline is safe on orings and burns clean quikly and mixes with oil (if banshee used engine oil)

if banshees suffer from that much electrolysis imagine what the rest of the motor and rad is like ? has anyone measured the current in the water ?

the thread goes from a pro-design cool head gasket/o-ring question, to all of a sudden a bunch of garbage. WTF?? yeah, is there a deleted post or something?? i missed the boat on this one too.
