SinfulDragon Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Just wondering if I'm out playing in the mud/water if there is a level I need to keep it under. I've seen the people who have the bike's fenders under water (not banshee) but that would put the water past even the airbox. Just wondering if I can take it in water that would go up to the air box or if I should keep it in levels much lower than that. Quote
grizzly700 Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 just go see how deep you can go and report back. lol Quote
AKheathen Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 if your airbox is sealed good, incuding the drain, and the snorkel is on tight, than you can go pretty deep if you keep water out of the end of the snorkel, and seal where the wires go in the stator cover(inside the sleeve) and vent tubes are run stock. but... the snorkel sucks and lid is restrictive, so i would say between 1-1.5ft or halfway up the box, depending on how fas you are going, and case/carb sealing Quote
Rodneya Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Ive been through water a foot and a half deep before when I had a cover on my airbox. The bottom is never smooth though, so keep your thumb on the kill switch just in case. Quote
