Just your normal run of the mill stock airbox. Don't need to have the lid or the carb boots, just need the airbox itself.
-
yeah but it was stick butter is that OK? I probably should have used Country Crock huh? Churn Style or regular?

So when I got my banshee it had a dyno port 2 into 1 system on it. sounds nice and the power is nice but I can't get it to fit to the engine correctly allowing it to blow and spurt shit all over the place. I've tried to adjust the hangers and such but I just can not get a good tight fit on this damn thing. I'm about to put the stock system back on if I can't get this figured out. any ideas???

exhaust from around the head
SinfulDragon replied to SinfulDragon's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Is the best way to tell to do a plug cut? To do this I was told by a friend to get her in 3rd WOT then kill the motor, not to be started on those plugs again then do the cut. There a better way? Sorry for the stupid questions but I don't know anything about Jetting other than what I've read on here. -
exhaust from around the head
SinfulDragon replied to SinfulDragon's topic in General Banshee Discussion
to give some resolution to the thread, I think I found the issue. a coolant return line was ran next to the exhaust and it finally cracked 100% today. got them replaced and rerouted and I see no more smoke in that area and now the coolant there can dry up and go away (good eye Ieat4strokes, I didn't even see that there until you said something). get her all put together and run the shit out of it aaannnnddddd no more leaks but the fucking rubber thing that goes around the exhaust where they connect caught on fire Put it out and let her cool down and couldn't get it to happen again. -
exhaust from around the head
SinfulDragon replied to SinfulDragon's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Ok, well thanks for that info. I'll pull the exhaust out of the motor and put in new seals, the high temp RTV sounds like a pretty damn good idea too. Still not sure how exhaust would be getting around to that side of the motor but I'll give that a shot and see if its not just a weird wind thats helping swirl it around. -

exhaust from around the head
SinfulDragon replied to SinfulDragon's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I'll try to take a short video to show what I'm talking about if you guys think it will be OK to start it but it looks like its leaking from where the head and the cylinders connect. -
so I kicked the shee up yesterday and noticed that exhaust is leaking in the middle of the cylinders on the back side. Head gasket I assume but as I've never taken a banshee apart I thought I'd ask someone in the know before I start pulling her apart. Still runs strong (not still running it since noticed) so I don't think there would be any damage thats occured as of yet but then again, what the fuck do I know other than how to drive it through the back window in my truck LOL Anything other than a head gasket that I should be looking at? What the fuck is an o ring set for the head?

How much oil does it hold? Sorry, I don't have a manual and cant seem to locate the answer either here nor on Google.

and to think I just wasted my time and money cleaning my air filter over the weekend.
-
Didn't get tossed, didn't even crack my knees on the bars. Just sat there for a minute like "what the fuck was that all about". Hell I don't even remember it being a good jolt. I have only put it in the truck once since it was fixed, and I pushed it up there when I did. I'm so happy to have my trailer now, much easier.

getting rid of the tires/rims?

how in the hell do you get mud off the motor/carbs? I don't have a brush that can reach in there. Do you guys use/suggest a pressure washer?

so whats the "right" way to warm up the banshee? -
Took a little trip to the badlands in Attica IN
SinfulDragon replied to SinfulDragon's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Had myself a couple "O Shit" moments, got stuck in some mud in part due to tires in part due to that place was no place for a 2 wheel drive ATV to be. Got to see someone get stuck in their Jeep. Now I can't fuckin wait to go back. I'm sure my wife is about to kill me, as if having a motorcycle wasn't expensive enough LOL -
Good info, I'll be putting this to use this weekend at the Badlands

Its like he's trying to tell us something....

they seized your bike without a leg to stand on and want you to pay to get it back? How long have they had it now? I wouldn't pay them a fuckin cent. They would be bringing that shit back to my fuckin house and dropping it off for me freshly washed. Ok maybe not, but thats what I'd be telling them. I damn sure wouldn't pay to get my ride back if I didn't do anything causing them to take it.

Got my truck back the other day. They did a hell of a job fixing it if you ask me! http://fireblades.biz/forums/attachment.ph...mp;d=1245293638 http://fireblades.biz/forums/attachment.ph...mp;d=1245293638
