BlasterKX Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 ok a buddy of mine just baught it and within the first day it did this. It ran fine for most of the day & then all of a sudden has an issue where the exhaust is just knocking & engine is not getting power. As I push the throttle will knock more & more & then die. This could be just as I'm in neutral or if I do put it into gear. It almost seems as if it is being choked but the choke is not on. Give me some ideas where to be looking? any good ideas? Quote

yamaha420 Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Forget a four stroke and get a real mans ride i had a similar problem with my 660 it turned out to be the wire that ran to the reverse switch got cut but it was hit or miss if the wire made a connection it ran fine but if not it would fuck up but i eventually got it fixed sold it and never looked back i wanted a 4 stroke to see how they ride and see if i would like one but truthfully in my opinion they are too much trouble Quote
