I just got my pipes and timing plate installed and went for a ride. The mid range rips really hard but I feel like it wont rev out as far as it used to with the stock pipes. I am rich right now {320

] mains 27.5 pilots could that cause this or is that how the pipes r tuned .I know they r mid pipes but i cant see them puuling less on top then stockers?????

hmm maybe clean your carbs? put a smaller main in then if your rich, your main is what effects your topend.

NOt knowing your location, it still sounds like you are WAY fat on the mains. Sea level might be in the 260-290 range. Also pull your plug gap down to .020.

Your first post Is a disaster, try taking your time alittle while typing. Makes it easier on all of us.

That being said, I live at sea level, MY buddy has pro circuits, vfs, airbox with no lid and clean up port.

27.5 310 main and he is still rich. The bike is a torque monster, 1-3 are responsive as hell. the rest of the gears pull good but he is still rich.

Im thinking he needs to drop to a 290-300.

Being too rich will def hold you back a lot. try dropping your main a few sizes and im sure it will get better.

Do some plugs chops.

I'd say drop to a 300 or a 310 main and see what happens and adjust accordingly from there....I run a 310 in my '99 and the jetting is dead on...

You have to remember....Just because your buddies bike is rich with a 310 doesn't mean his bike will be rich....Every motor is different..especially these motors.
