official_style Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 im starting to get my 2 bikes ready for my vegas trip, and i need to know what jets to slap in. both bikes are running t5s, +4 timing, and uni pods w/outerwears in a cfm airbox. right now im running 27.5 pilots, 310 mains, needles on the 3rd clip, and airscrews out 2.5. im running the longer toomey needles. it runs good, might be a tiny bit rich. so how should i set them up for vegas? i am going to be staying in henderson nv, not sure about the different places we will be riding in tho. official_style Posted May 17, 2009 Author Report Posted May 17, 2009 i am in ny right now, near the city, so how much should i go down for vegas? Quote
official_style Posted May 18, 2009 Author Report Posted May 18, 2009 where i ride is like 200-1500ft, in vegas i belive its going to be like 2500 ft. Quote
shee4speed Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 you will just be a tad richer in Vegas.Prob.be just fine.you'll have to check your plugs. Quote
official_style Posted May 18, 2009 Author Report Posted May 18, 2009 what about the temp and humidity differences? here its like 70-85, but much more humid, vegas i belive gets up to like 110 Quote
AKheathen Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 i would verify the humidity in vegas, but if it is really dry, then the jetting would be pretty close in those regards. -1 for the temp; +1 for a significant drop in humidity. i would just take 2 sizes in either direction, and tune it when you get there, because the fuel and other variables. vegas banshee Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 utah should be nice.. hope you have somthing with A/C to stay in between rides haha i dont even really ride in the summer cuz of the heat haha Quote
AKheathen Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 are you gonna be using the fuel from the gas station @ 2500ft, or from a lower elevation, and ridding @2500ft? if they sell gas up there, it'll need 2 sizes richer than lower elevation fuel@ 2500ft, which would put you @ 320-330 mains. Quote
official_style Posted May 19, 2009 Author Report Posted May 19, 2009 well henderson elevation is like 1800ft, so i figure we will be buying gas around that elevation. i didnt even think about the gas being formulated for different elevations Quote

You will pass a few towns like, indian springs and mercury. keep going until you see them on the left "cant miss them". Turn left on a street called valley view and bammmm....plus the whore house is right there if you need a little service?   Quote
