DGFUNNY70 Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 In the two years I have had my 4 mill I have dynoed it twice the first time I made about 75 horsepower and it seemed to rev out just like it should. Then about a year later I dynoed it again this time I had changed my reeds from v-force 2 to v-force 3 and I also changed from stock carbs to 30mm oko Quote
Darthwall Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 I dont really think it is the ricky? but why do you have one on there are you running high power lights or is it just to have one? the stock ones work great and last a long time the ricky's seem to die out after a little while for no reason if you still have your stock one stick it on there and see if there is a difference Quote
AKheathen Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 the high resistance readings are because the stator is overwrapped for higher output. the lighting side is fine, but i don't know how much rs overwraps the ignition side, if any. so, the 29.5 ohms could be a poor connection somwhere in the stator, which could lead to weak spark, and similar symptoms, but your jetting could me off, too Quote

You can't trust a Ricky stator period, they are all Junk! Quote
J-Madd Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Check your compression. A weak engine will not rev out all the way. Other than that, your probably on the right track with the stator. Quote
