39 pwk's are pretty popular for 421 cubs.you can convert them over to alky.u can can spend the money and get yourself a set of lectrons which are nice for alky.hp its hard to tell.you going to have it ported or not and who will be doing it?

I am going to build a 4mill long rod motor with cubs cly What size of CARBS should i run going to run on alky. Also what kind of Hp should i see

if you have a builder thats doing your work talk to him.........if not i prefer makunis i have never had problems with them..some 38 or 41 should work great :thumbsup:

Im running 30 oko's because that's what my builder recommended. Runs like a bat outa hell. On that note, it was crazy fast with stock carbs as well. It was a good testament to all the people saying you need bigger carbs.

i agree with what was said,john nows his stuff so he will beable to let you know what will work best with his setup

i know jhon likes kehins.....however he does not port hell be sending your cyliders out and putting the motor toghether himself.....his a good guy and knows his shit big time...imo.......what is he building for you?
