speciald215 Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 (edited) This is my first banshee. Its running K&N w/ outerwears, what looks to be a fairly aggressive port job, bored, T-5s with 320 mains and needle all the way down. Im at about 5000'. It is pretty snappy at the start but doesnt seem to hit the powerband all the time (feels almost like a rev limiter). Also, it smokes pretty heavy at idle and i cant seem to change the rpms when i turn the idle screws. Any advice will help, thanks. Edited May 8, 2009 by speciald215 Quote

As I understand, a bog means too rich whereas if the bike feels like it hesitates, it's lean. Are your carbs and jets clean? It can be many things. How does your bike start when warm? Can you start it on a cold day without the choke? Quote

AKheathen Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 ok, just to make sure, are you running fresh fuel(the same fuel and oil that you are going to be running) if that's good, then you are rich all around. the intermittent problem is loading up with fuel. sea level fuel wil be way different on the jetting than your local fuel, but if your running local fuel, then go down one size on your pilots, and attempt a plug chop. what reeds are you running? what do your plugs look like?
