  1. I'm sure that the stator is fine because the problem stayed on the right side even after switching the coil wires. As far as leak-down, I have not tried one yet but that may be my best bet as the plug always is much blacker that the left cylinder, which is running fine. But if I had bad crank seals wouldn't I be getting more smoke out of the one side. I will go ahead and take the resistences on my stator anyway because that won't take much time.
  2. I'm sure that this topic has been covered but I have been unsuccessful in finding information that helps me. I finally got the midrange bog out of my shee and noticed that when I really open it up the right cylinder cuts out, it will kick back in when the rpms come down to about the mid-range. I have torn the carbs apart time after time chasing this problem with no results. I began to think that it may be the crank seals but I am not getting the excessive smoke that is associated with burning oil. I have also tried switching the coil wires and it remains the same. Any suggestions will help.
  3. I just got my new intakes today and noticed that they don't have a hole for a crossover tube nor do they have a built in crossover. I got to thinking and now I need to know if i even need the crossover. I'm running PJ 34s on a dune proted, bored and piped motor.
  4. What about a 2:1 carb setup? Or are they not a good thing for a duner.
  5. I have a 4 mil crank bored .35 over with a pretty aggressive port and i will be getting the head shaved by 0.020, running T5s. I am running stock carbs, do i need to bump them up or can i make the stockers handle the upgrades? Thanks.
  6. It winds up and feels like the powerband should kick in, but never does. Warm or cold it starts right up all the time.
  7. This is my first banshee. Its running K&N w/ outerwears, what looks to be a fairly aggressive port job, bored, T-5s with 320 mains and needle all the way down. Im at about 5000'. It is pretty snappy at the start but doesnt seem to hit the powerband all the time (feels almost like a rev limiter). Also, it smokes pretty heavy at idle and i cant seem to change the rpms when i turn the idle screws. Any advice will help, thanks.
