donkeypuncher Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 one of my buddies had his wheeler takin to Fast.. he said the guy was an asshole... so i dont know... first negative thing i've ever heard about fast. :ermm: everyone i have called has a 4 to 5 sweek wait passion was the only one that had a decent time said he could get to mine in a week theres a reason why theres such a long wait, because they have a lot of customers. im not trying to discourage you from goin with passion, im just sayin i've heard mixed results with them. Quote
shanYE west Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Jim (Passion Racing) is a great Guy and his customer service is some of the best I've seen. All builders have had customers that felt they got a sour deal or had a bad experience... Its just a matter of who decides to speak out and who doesn't. It's a popularity issue.. If someone was to speak out against HJR or FAST they would get blasted and ridiculed.. So people dont say anything. (not sayin they did or did not have bad deals) I can say I've heard alot of bad stories about alot of builders.. but its not fair to the builders to comment about them based off second hand information that I heard. wesw Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 built 2 motors for me took lil time to figure the jetting but got it lined out. his work is some of the best i have ever seen. jim has a.d.d. gets lot of projects going and what not. does a lot of research on lot of stuff. and also works as a mechanic for an import shop in tulsa full time. just call him up tell him what you want to do and all that. you will have to wait some time for it cause i talked to him last week and he is starting to get lot of motors needing to be built so be a wait. but will be worth it. Isaac_62 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 NN2 sent his jugs to be ported by passion... Guy took like a month to finally get to them... but when he got them back they looked amazing... looks like he does great work.. just takes him forever... just my 2centss Quote
DallasGDub Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I have seen a few Passion built motors run and they seem to do great. Never seen the work up close, or know anyone personally. I got my jugs back from Kevin @ HJR in about 2 weeks. Bore, hone and full dune port. That was about 2 months ago. He still helps me with questions I have. He even helped me through out all of last year prior to even buying anything. I get my parts from Jeff. Right after I hang up the phone they appear on my door step like magic. Great guy, never had any issues. Even if something was wrong, he fixed what ever the problem was. Hard to judge negative feed back sometimes. Pissed off people can exaggerate to get satisfaction. I try to judge more on positive feed back. What good things do people say about a particular builder or shop ext....If they go out of their way to say something good, normally more truth behind it. sredish Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 the passion cylinders I have run DAMN hard.... and smooth to boot. Quote
hellride96 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 my engine runs very hard. jim is def. worth the wait, like wes and fouledout said, he does work full time and he has a lot of projects going but he is a great builder and has alot of research done on his porting Quote
zachass9 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Jim (passion racing engines) just finished up my 421 cheetah duner!! It makes unreal power and I love the motor. He does quality work and will do anything to keep you happy after the sale as well!! His work is top quality, affordable, and he will help you with any questions or issues. I wouldnt hesitate to send him another motor. Just my .02 Z Quote
spike Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I also have a passion motor, 4mm stroker 12 port duneport. I Love that thing! Real torquey motor for a shearer piped bike, will wheelie just by giving it gas in sixth, 14-40 gearing. I had a drag ported motor before with my shearers and i didn't like it. bottom end was to shitty so my first plan was to ditch the shearer's and go back to t-5's. Jim told me to stick with my pipes and he would make me a torquey motor with the top end I want. He did not lie. Like wesw said it was a little tricky on the jetting but once I got it dialed in It became an animal. I say go for it we need more Passion nut swingers back on this board! Quote
