Jugg Removal

Recommended Posts

Okay, so im replacing the ring on a 125 cr 2002 and I for the life of me cannot get the f'ing jugg off. the back left stud seems to be hung up, maybe on the dowel pin or whatever its called. Is there a good way to attempt to get this thing off? I know I cant pound on it (hard) or pry it. anyone run into this. The head came off easily.

btw, this is the first time its ever been apart.

Try spraying some pb blaster onto the studs and let it seep down to the bottom where the dowel pins are, let it soak for a couple of hrs. and then smack it with a rubber mallet. Look at it this way, the damn thing wasn't born on there!

ok i got it off and i want to clean it up. there is a small, not very deep gouge at the top of the exhaust port. i got some ultra fine scotch brite pads. will this work as long as i dont do it too rough and follow the lines inside.

also, what do you guys use to clean your juggs? do you soak them in anything or what? Im having a rough time getting the grime out and off.

any help is greatly appreciated.

soak em in gas overnight..long as theres nothin the gas wont eat...when i blew my motor i had a full tank of 100 i knew it was gonna just go bad so i dumped it in a pail and used that to clean my cases and cylinders..
