shawn941 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 i just bought or put on layaway i should say, an 89 banshee that has a 410 stroker motor in it. i bought it from a used cycle shop for $2250. all he knows is that it has a 410 stroker motor in it, i looked at the carbs and it has keihin carbs on it,not sure what size they are. i guess what my question is i know a stock banshee comes with about 43 hp stock,,,,could anyone tell what this 410 might put out and what kind of horsepower? and it obviously would have been ported? any replies appreiciated Quote
01banch Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Hmmm...could 410cc's be a 4mil or a BB stock stroke? I would Guess 70ish without knowing all the details. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Banshees do not come with 43 hp stock. Banshees are 37HP stock. Quote

Who did the porting and what type? That would be the biggest part of how much power you would see. Also timing, compression and fuel type too. Quote

vulvafan537240 Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 if its got a stroker crank with no portwork and bolt ons, it could be around the 45-50hp range. however, if its been ported, depending on what type of port work and the builder, it could easily have over double the stock hp. Quote
RagunCajun Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 however, if its been ported, depending on what type of port work and the builder, it could easily have over double the stock hp. That's what i was going to say. Portwork will make or brake it. With the right set up, it will be a very fun bike. I wouldnt focus on #'s but just look over everything and make sure she runs in tip top shape. Quote
