mordecai Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 i had just bought an 01 banshee about a month ago and it ran pretty good, but i thought i better check the carbs and clean them if the needed to be after i put everything back one side of it is running rich on idle and it wasn't doing that before, the settings and jets are the same on both carbs, i took a look at the reeds and they were fine, i put new plugs in but that didn't help i also checked the compression and that was good so any help would really be appreciated, thanks Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Make sure the slides are opening at the same time. Press the throttle and watch the carb slides. They should move at the same time. If they do not, first make sure the caps are screwed on tightly. Next adjust the carb tops where the cable enters. Also make sure that your choke tube is connected between the carbs. Ensure that you put the slides back in the correct way. When looking into the rear of the carb, check to make sure the at the bottom of the slide is cut away like a half moon. Quote
Trixyboi14 Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Hi, I have just read this topic because your problem sounds exactly like mine right now. Im gna re-sync my carbs n do the other stuff mentioned above. Wanted to no if this fixed your problem? Quote
TwistedSheeRida Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 if you havent gotten the tors removal kit yet do that i usually measure the slides at the bottom for idle with a drill bit to make sure they are the same height Quote
Huey73 Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 Going through the same thing right now too! Flooding out bad on the left side. Replaced the needle and seats on both carbs. Just thought that it might be the choke because its on that carb. I'll report back when I get it figured out Quote
