aust_banshee Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I have a slow leak coming from underneath the transmission case (the left side). I had a look under the bike and it looks like the seal is loose or something or buldging out? Does the case just need to tightened? It's a new bike with 10 or more hrs use Quote
rubberneck Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 When you say left side, do you mean the side with the shifter. Only seal there would be the countershaft seal behind the sproket or the shifter seal. Either could be leaking. Quote
doorslammer Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 while you've got that side cover off and sprocket, check the plugs that go in the holes that the shift fork rods go in, i had one of them come out and it was a slow leak... Quote
2001Stroker Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Are you saying that the seal is definitely popped out? If so, try to pop it back in with a rubber mallot. I would also check the neutral safety switch cover plate. That has an o-ring on it. Quote
