zircotee Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I have just today purchased a banshee and have never owned one. I have up untill now been a 4 stroke fan, but the price was right. the power supposed to be great. this bike will idle perfectly. but will not rev or even attempt. Just blaht blaht. i have drained the fuel to check for water. there are electronics going in the thumb throttle and the carbs. can someone give me a few good ideas. this bike was running then just shut down and has been sitting for like 5 months. AKheathen Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 unplug the little black box under the gas tank, to the left of the coil. that's the tors. one verry important piece of advise i can give you, is keep the jetting right, or you can blow the motor. this just means any airflow mods (ie. filtersetups, exhaust, porting) requires jetting. welcome to the addiction Quote

swrbansheeboy Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 there are a series of switches in the tors system and if one of them hangs up it will not let the bike rev much over idle, depending on the year of the bike the parking break switch can do the same thing. your best bet is to get rid of both setups and rule those out of your troubleshooting.... I had him help disconnect all those wires. He was so irritated that I got it running that easily. Thats when I told him about this site.
