CadillacBanshee
i ordered new stator and i got the one with the wrong plug on it. All the wires match in color. Can i just splice the wires together? I searched and found post that old stators wont work with new cdi's and i read that all stators work with all cdi's. What do i do? My bike is an 00 and the stator has a round plug on it.
dajogejr
Round plug is the 87 to 94 style. If you just ordered it....I would send it back and get the right one instead of splicing wires. Otherwise, cut the plug off your old one and solder then heat shrink wrap them to seal.

RIPPEN
Yes it will work... My bike is a 94 and I ended up using a stator off like a 01 in idaho a few years back. Spliced the plugs and it worked fine.. RIPPEN
