i just got a shifter lever from the yamaha dealer but it doesnt clear the peg? does anybody know why, or do they need to be bent?

What do you mean it won't clear the peg...Do you have it on the correct splines on the shift shaft.

I just ran outside and looked at mine, it clears by about 3/16". Did you put it all the way in and actually put the bolt through? If you did and it still does not clear, it must be a defective lever, I would either take it back or grind a little bit off the inside of the peg so it will clear. Can I ask why you are replacing it?

i never had one. this is my first banshee and i built the engine so i didnt have one. ive been using an extended xr75 shift lever that bends everytime you shift, lol. its definitely not going to fit, wrong lever i guess.
