My mods are Fatty pipes, core 2 tips, KnN pods no outer wears, stock carbs with TORS removed.

Jetting is 310 mains, 27.5 pilots, thanks to Jeff at FAST

And my elevation is about 300ft.

Problem is when its cold/or first start in a about an hour my shee will only start if i pull my KnN pods off and cover the carbs with my hand until i get a little gas on them, then it runs great no problems at all, once its warmed up i can shut it off and start it first kick.

I dont get it WTF is going on?

Anyone else ever have this problem? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks in advance, Justin

The problem lies in your pilot circuit...what size pilots do you have in there?

He says in his post 27.5 pilots.

Your pilots should be big enough for your mods and youe elevation. Have you had the carbs off and cleaned the pilot circuit out really well? If you have done that and you crabs are in good shape i would do a compression test on it and see were you are at?

Carbs have been thuroughly clean multipull times, pilot circut is clean, ued a little piece of afety wire from work, Air Force work on planes.

No port work, and compresion is 120 right and 110 left, i know its 10 off but damn its not like it 80 or 90.

I just took my carbs off and cleaned them aswell, I have a 300 main 25 pilot and im having the same problem since I added the vforce 3 reeds and cool head and removed air box for new filters.

I only have to cover 1 carb to get mine started.

Close your airscrews in to 1/2 turn out and see if that helps. It is definately a lean pilot circuit for both of you. Are you both Positive the bowls are on the correct side and the pilot passage and jets are completely clean. Should be able to see light through them. Compressed air is the best way to get the pilot and choke passages in the carbs and bowls.

also, coke tube, choke plunger o-ring, and the cable retainers can cover the hole in the top of the slides if the are bolted on backwards. tune your airscrews richer, and check for airleaks.
