06Shee Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Ok, so, I was driving my bike and it just slowed down and turned off then wouldnt start. I took it for inspection and they said that my pistons had seized. They now want to bore the cylinders .010 over (68.25mm pistons). Jeff told me that the cubs are made of nickasil so they cant be bored. I am abit confused here ? Can nickasil be bored ? or else what should I do? or should I add a new 68mm piston and it should be fine? Any info/help would be really helpful. Thanks Quote

Thanks you need to have the nakasil stripped off then if its bad will have to be welded then renakasiled. Quote
