banshee_terror_ Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 check out this guy for some porting and kick ass customer service.http://flotekperformance.com/home why 80hp? You just picked a number out of the clouds? U could do a lot of diffrent things to a shee. And one of them is pick were you want your power. Im guessing your gana go for speed. But a mild dune port or something along those lines would be plenty for the streets. You could go to jeff at fast a site sponser. And for gearing go 14 41 or 42. Also timing advance and a coolhead to figure out your dome size you need to tell us if u still want to run pump gas and your elavation. But if I remember correctly there is something diffrent about uk gas than us. Also for carbs im running 28 pwks. And those are good enough for me but a lot of peaple run 32mm carbs. And v-force 3 reed. Take the tores off. And a k&n and you should be good. To go. Don't know if your gana hit 80 hp. Quote
BlasterKX Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 id go back to stock gearing like stated above 14/41. if ur geared down to low i almost bet your going to have to get a new chain also so it will be long enough. would also say def go with a timing plate like also stated and put it at +4. Then the rest is up to you and how far you want to go with it. Quote
black sunshine Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Any particular reason you are looking to double your current HP? Your gonna have to really milk those stock cylinders to get 80...... Quote
sleeper06 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 An 80 hp motor ,kiss stock gearing away for the street, especially if your running!I live in Long island there are no woods or trails to ride,we ride street and drag on the street,im saying 16-41 or 17-41 your not always going to be in it to win it and you want to cruise with decent mph at lower rpm.when its time to run my bike pulls the gear no prob Quote

Street all day. But what I said before is plenty for the streets. And like some one else said your gana have 2 milk the cyl's to get 80 hp Quote
trex banshee Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 stock cylinders are very capable of going 80hp. With the right pipe, head, intake setup and tuning...very achievable. Quote
grizzly700 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 i would say at least a 15 on the front for the street. then wen u put on a case saver it will be tight with the case saver. if you ride on the street you are proly gonna want that higher gearing. im with sleeper06 on this one. Quote
cole_ Posted March 12, 2009 Author Report Posted March 12, 2009 i want 80 hp because it would be savage on the road and i want long gearing to make it more useable on the road Quote
