DallasGDub Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 The mods on the 250r are not even close to what you have in that Shee. I would say no. Plus you have a 450 trail bike. Quote
skinindustries Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I think that is a piece of history just like the banshee. I have wanted one of those for a long time but cant find a complete one. Quote

Its the 98 shee. not much money in it . the 450 is done for flattrack too . I'm bored of my warrior for trail riding I'm on the phone with him right now Quote
01banch Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) It looks like it has a cr250 motor in it...not like it will make a huge difference in runability. The reason I say I do not believe it is a 250r motoris it is a rearwards kick(like the banshee) while the 250r motor actually kicks forward. But realize that you will be pretty bored with the power of a 250r after riding the shee, unless the porting is wild the powerbands are pretty mild. I honestly would not do it but I know I love my R but I am also running a pilot top end on it and it just screams, Edited March 4, 2009 by 01banch Quote

grizzly700 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 i wouldnt trade my shee for a 250r. i have seen a couple fast ones but i would say a modded shee is way better. Quote
01banch Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I understand you wanting to try something new or differnet but the R's really are expensive to make very fast, IMO you will even with the porting will be unimpressed. But If you feel that this is in your best interest don't let us hold you back atleast you will have another shee when the R breaks or bores you... Quote
Canadarider Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 I was talking to him again he said the R does need alot of work. new bearings in the whole rear. hes got TRX450 a arms and shocks for it he said they bolt right up (I dont know if they do ??). the frame does need some new PC work ( I can get all the parts done for 350$). He said its got 165psi ( not sure if thats good for cr or not ) the fenders are not the best. I got him to come up to the R and 1600$cnd. How is the power of a CR motor I just want something good for the trails and a little MX. I want alot of bottom and mild power. Can I do all this for 1600$cnd . All the other R I have been looking at are 4000$ to 8000$ cnd for one . I pAid 1500$ for my shee in running order. I got a bill from the guy . He took it to the dealer to get the motor rebuilt. 1600$ bill from the yamaha dealer. The guy is also french so his spelling and wording is not the best. Thanks for all the help guys Quote
