Take the seat off , remove the stock airbox(kinda a pita has to slide forward out of some grooves) , then you will pull off the fuel lines (make sure your fuel is off!) and take a phillips head screw driver and take the clamps loose on the engine side and they just pop right off . Make sure you mark them left or right tho . Quote

That's probably the correct way to do it, however, if the boots are in good condition and at a pliable temperature you can gently wrestle the carbs out by pulling them back into the airbox boot, then out. Don't forget the choke tube (hose about 3" long connects carbs together) or you will pull your hair out trying to get it to run. :: Quote
