IMO untill you get it running there is no way of knowing if you need deffernt pilots or mains!

if it ran good at one time at the same elevation with the same set up it should run good again ! a dirty carb and air cleaner will throw everything off ! I say clean it all up good throw new plugs in get it running and go from there you might be suprised!! if you really need to know what jets to get pull them out of the carbs and measure its the only way to be sure,

Thats just it , it never really hit the power bands before either ? i havent realy rode except to the end of the drive way and back a few times , but it bogs down and back fires in 1st , 2nd and 3rd for sure , BUT it seems like when it gets a little warmer (the motor) it runs a little better and hits the power bands a little sooner .

I just bought a used pro circuit exhaust and a uni filter with the stock airbox . So i will probably have to rejet it then anyway . I will take the carbs back apart and clean them again once i get the new parts in .

Im also going to tear it down and repaint the frame , swingarm , control arms , etc.

sounds like you are a little rich on your needle setting right now. what's your elevation/temp? looking at your pic, the pilot should be at the bottom of a tube behind the emultion tube (where the main jet screws in) clean it out good, and you should see the knotches to unscrew it. maybe take a pic of the bottom so we can see. snoopczinski comes to mind when dealing with those carbs. maybey ask him about the pilot?

elevation is 1100-1200 feet , temp are no higher than 85 in the summer and its around 50-60 here now til spring .

I will take them back apart saturday and take some more pics of them for all to see

you dont have enough compression to run the motor. sorry Rollins advice is alright but wrong, you dont need half that shit, you can download a clymers online for free, you dont really have to have the sync tool, unless you're wanting the exact thing. dont remove the airbox unless you plan to always ride in a nice dry area with no mud or water. dont need a carb rebuild kit, just take the carbs off and clean them real good with the mentioned carb spray.

while rhollin does have some good general advice like a fresh set of plugs inline fuel filters are shit, and will clogg easy which when your on a good long run will tend to starve the carbs for fuel if not changed regularly. and will cause a lean condition.

tors removal is optional but generally a great idea when you get time and money to do it.

list the mods you have

list the elevation you live

list the type of riding you want to do

list the current jets main and idle and needle position - someone will tell you if it need changed for your mods.

and you'll recieve the answers you need

where can you get a clymers manual free online? ive searched and searched with no luck........ do you have a link or somewhere i can get it online free?
