j_rod421 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I just took the clutch fibers and steels out to be replaced with a new clutch. Noticed the pressure plate has some wear..."funny wear". Guys, I've got a machine shop next to my work, I've been considering having it turned a very very very little bit to have the wear pattern broken. I'd hate to trash it. It's a Hinson and it wasn't exactly cheap. Let me know if its worth a try. Quote
J-Madd Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I've never seen wear on the pressure plate before, just basket and hub. Got pics? Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 ive seen plenty of pressure plates wear. if you run your finger from the inside to the outside, you can feel it hump up a little. start at the spot where the bolts go through and run it toward the edge. in some cases you can feel the difference pretty easily.
