is it worth doing both of the mods or just one or the other?. i have the cases split and cleaned and shipped the jugs to HJR for porting, bore/hone, and a few other things. i figured while i have it apart i might as well smooth out the tranny too. i've searched and found all kinds of info on both but nothing as far as which is best to do, or if both should be done together.

I run a modded cascade shift star and the shift pro shift kit with easy spring from tudors.

I say go for it. Anyway you go will be fine and better then stock.

But just a FYI, you don't need the cases apart to do any of the three above mods. Just pop the clutch cover off and pull the basket and its all right there. But if it's apart already, your kickin goals.

I could see the star doing more as a single mod, but I opted to do both along with the shift star stopper easy spring. I have only had it out once since these mods, but it did feel good. Kind of like I was through the gears and did not even realize it.

i had a modded star and the shift pro kit. it shifted with no effort, the bike was making a lot of power (cub) and was still hard to shift under WOT, so i went with a dunable overide.. i still have the shift pro kit, but im gonna put it in my trail bike (which already has a modded star)

does the shift pro kit come with the shaft or just the spring & plate/roller?

The easy spring, arm with the roller bearing.

I did all that + the cascade star.

Honestly you do not need the bearing roller, just use your stock one. You would get the rest from FAST, the easy spring, shift shaft, and shift star.

Im pretty sure the shift pro only comes with the stopper roller.

With the modded star and easy spring, I bet you wouldn't even be able to tell a difference between stock roller and cascades bearing roller.

The shift pro kit comes WITH a lighter tension spring that goes behind the new arm and roller.

Not the shift shaft spring though,

IMO, any which way you go is ALOT better than stock.

My bad, I couldn't remember seeing one when I checked on them.

Thats what Im talking about, the easy spring behind the arm, not the shift shaft.

And you got that right, anythings better than stock.
