Ieat4strokes Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 with my mods listed where should i start with the jetting on the 28 PWKs??? Quote
hercalmighty Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Try a 48 pilot, middle clip, 162 main. I have basically the same setup but T6's and thats what I run. Quote
Dick Wheels Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 What needle are you running? N68A or JJH or possible other? Quote
someone82 Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 What needle are you running? N68A or JJH or possible other? With my setup in my sig i'm running N68A needles (middle clip) with 48 pilots and 158 mains. Quote
hercalmighty Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Im running the N68A needle also Quote
Ieat4strokes Posted February 26, 2009 Author Report Posted February 26, 2009 im not sure about the needles..... i bought them from a member off here... just wanted to get a ballpark before i slap em on..... so 40 pilots 158-160 mains on a stock motor no porting @ sea level??? Quote
Dick Wheels Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 I also just installed the N68A needles on the middle clip. I'm using a 160 main and 50 pilot but think I may have to bump up to a 52 pilot because i'm only .5-1 turn out on the air screw Quote
grizzly700 Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 with my mods listed where should i start with the jetting on the 28 PWKs??? i have same mods as you except the coolhead and im running 50 pilots and 160mains on mine. its just a tad rich, which is how i like so it shoud be close for you. Quote
tidos76 Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 i think tha carbs have 52 pilots and 168 mains. i could be completely off tho. you should be ok to run the bike with them. it should be pritty fat. maybe even close to were you need. i hav e amild port and the carbs were good on top but a lil rich on bottom. try the carbs like they are and do a plug chop. they should be close. Dick Wheels Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I'm definatly pretty close! is everyone rinning the middle clip on needle? Airbox or pods? Quote
Ieat4strokes Posted February 27, 2009 Author Report Posted February 27, 2009 cool.....i tear em apart n chek when they arrive, i like mine a little on the lean side to be honest.... im running 260 mains @ sea level now on my stock carbs and it flat rips....plugs are nice n dark black.... but everyone says i should be running 300's+ at my elevation with my mods, i guess every bike different...... i tried 300's and it pulled like shit so I went back to the 260's. neways thanks for all the help guys! appreciate it Quote

I've run 2 down from the top when and noticed a little bit crisper mid range throttle response, but I prefer running her a little rich. I'm running an airbox with no lid and a proflow w/K&N. Quote

Plugs are alot cheaper than a top end. Quote
