BansheeDan Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 Got pics of the silencers? One thing I always do that seems to help... If they are completly dry....fill the calipers up with fluid before you attatch the lines to them. I believe what is happening to you is the left caliper isnt full of fluid. Like I said...fill both calipers and the res. and try again. Dan Quote
CJ PERFORMANCE Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Im pretty sure that all the header pipes are pretty thin Quote
poorboystoys Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 they look like dg's those pipes suck and they always leak and cover up the gas knob and top of the cylinders almost bought a bike with them but luckly i didn't Quote
krss144 Posted March 2, 2009 Author Report Posted March 2, 2009 OK guys thanks for the info, I didnt have time to work on the bike this weekend, only a high of 5 on sat. and maybe 2 yesterday. I will try and get some pics of the ends. As far as the brakes I have been letting gravity do its thing but I believe I will fill each caliper and start from there. Probly last weekend of snowmobiling for me this coming weekend so spring should be right around the corner. Quote
Duneman101 Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 They have no name on them what so ever, and I noticed last night that they are really thin. SO new question...I had the front brakes apart all winter and put new pads on, so all the brake fluid was out. I put the entire front end together and trying to bleed the front brakes and having a hell of a time. The book says to fill it with the fluid, use a tube or hose to bleed out the brakes one sqeeze at a time. With the other end in the bottle of fluid. It should start to fill the hoses with fluid which it did on the right hand side and I could see little air bubbles coming out, so I go over to the left side and nothing. No fluid coming out, no air bubbles nothing. Yet I open up the right and fluid comes out. So the brake lever has all play in it. So last night I opened both sides just a little to let gravity do it job and see what happens tonight. Is there anything I am missing, when I picked up the bike the front brakes worked fine, now I feel that something might be blocking the lines or something but nothing could have gotten in there...I am at a total loss???? I got so pissed off after like 3 hours of pumping that i started jumping on the front bumper and picking up the front end and dropping it and of course shouting obscenities at it. it worked, i think that the lines just needed some agitation to get the air to move up the lines and the fluid to move down the lines. i picked up a little vacuum deal at autozone for $20, it works better, and the neighbors don't give you funny looks. krss144 Posted March 27, 2009 Author Report Posted March 27, 2009 (edited) OK she is finally back together. Starts first-second kick. Wheelie machine but havent been able to open her up yet...hasnt been warm enough. Everything seems to be working revs up good and the pipes are really different compared to my buddys who has the FMF. Ready for the warm weather...oh wait I live in MI and its suppose to snow yet tonight. Edited March 27, 2009 by krss144 Quote

Sounds to me like there is definately no packing in those silencers. Those pipes dont look to bad on a banshee though, no worse to get at plugs and fuel petcock than my sniper pipes. Quote
