dajogejr Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Some nicely ported stockers will go perfectly with the mods you already have (pipes, carbs) Tell Brandon it's a stroker and have him get you cut domes for it instead of running a spacer plate. That motor will be fun and easy to ride as well as fast enough to kick up some dirt. Think about a dunable override while you're at it... Quote
Ieat4strokes Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Posted February 9, 2009 i forgot to add yea he is including cut domes and porting for the 4 mill in my package. theres probally some more things he suggested that im forgetting off the top of my head. so ported stockers it is, thanks man. appreciate it. BigRed350x Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 I'd go with the ported stockers. You can have them ported and set up for your exact riding style. Cubs are a god cylinder, but tend to be too peaky for a dune bike IMO. That's just me tho. A 4mil stock cylinder bike can be set up to be one hell of a mean duner. Quote
Ieat4strokes Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 yea from what im getting, cubs wouldnt be to friendly in the woods at all.... i do love to climb hills and sometimes they are to steep to be just flat out wide open throttle which is what im assuming u have to be for the cubs to work. I seemed to get around the dunes no problem on my stock stroke cub......It's just the clutches I would go through climbing hills trying to keep it on the pipe. As far as duning though it worked great. I am getting a cheetah now though so maybe it wasn't the best thing, but more power never hurts either. Quote
