THE358BANSH Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Okay guys, I am switching over to 30mm Lectrons from a single 39mm PWK. What throttle cable for a thumb style are you using? I looked on TerryCable and MotionPros sites, and I don't know which cable has the correct end/bend for my application. Thanks, Evan Quote
wesw Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 dont think those cables will work with lectrons not sure have to get the cable from packard its an ok cable nothing to brag on. Quote
RadarRacing Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 It really the adjuster at the top of the carb that is the most diferent. I got mine from Dennis Packard and it's got a nice billett adjuster and the carb tops match up to it right. I'd just get the right one or you might have to JB weld the end of the cable into the carb adjuster or it'll flop inside it or might pop out and hang at 3/4 throttle. Packard enterprises. I think they are $40 or maybe a little more but it wasnt that bad. Quote
studroes Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 x2 call up dennis packard. i got mine from him. called him up he took my address and i got the cable 4 days later. $50 bucks for a new cable and its definately worth it over messin around with the stock cable Quote
jinx44 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 First off, I hated the Terrycable I had on my 35 Mikunis. I will never own another terrycable throttle cable. I ran a Motion Pro prior to switching to Lectrons, and it wouldn't work. None of their "book" part numbers would. I bought my Lectrons from Richard's Recreation/HP Research, but it was the same cable that Packard has. Quote
